As an Arizona Game and Fish Department Hunter Educator, I will commit to: 1. Support the goals and objectives of the Department and the Hunter Education Program. 2. To be professional and positive at all times when I am representing or acting on behalf of the Department. 3. To have a positive approach in teaching and to use appropriate personal experiences in class. 4. To follow the approved Department curriculum according to manuals, course outlines, and materials. 5. To follow the guidance of the Hunter Education Program and Department staff. 6. To include Department staff in classes, workshops, and events whenever possible. 7. To be knowledgeable and well-prepared to teach Hunter Education. 8. To conduct myself with integrity. 9. To refrain from the use of tobacco products during any class, program, workshop, or event. 10. To abstain from use or consumption of alcohol or illegal substances before or during any Hunter Education program or event, and at any time while wearing the AZGFD logo. 11. To follow all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations, and all of the Department's policies and procedures. 12. To promote a safe, non-threatening learning environment. 13. To refrain from the use of profanity, offensive language, inappropriate humor, or comments that offend or humiliate any person or class of persons. 14. To be mindful of and respect personal boundaries. 15. To avoid situations where I may be alone with a minor without visibility of other adults. I understand that I am authorized and expected to immediately stop any activity or project that may pose a hazard or present a risk of loss or liability to anyone, and to take immediate action necessary to correct, eliminate, and/or mitigate the risk or hazard. I understand that I am expected to report any such incident immediately to the Department staff. I understand that I am required to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety. I state that I am not prohibited under any State or Federal law from possessing firearms, and declare that I have not been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence and I am not currently the subject of a domestic violence restraining order. I agree to satisfy the time and training commitments required to be a Hunter Educator as outlined in the Hunter Educator Position Description. I certify my understanding and willingness to comply with AZGFD Hunter Education policy and State of Arizona requirements regarding the protection and nondisclosure of personal identification information obtained from students in the course of their participation in a Hunter Education class or activity. I further understand that I am subject to criminal prosecution and/or civil liability and other penalties for any unauthorized use, disclosure or failure to control student information in my care and custody. I further understand that the Department may, at its discretion, revoke my volunteer status at any time, for any reason or for no reason. I certify that all of the information provided by me is true and correct and that any omissions or inconsistencies may be cause for termination. False or fictitious statements or the concealment of a material fact is punishable as a felony pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes 13-2311.
