Give Christmas trees a second purpose!
AZ Game and Fish Department and the City of Yuma are partnering to collect used Christmas trees to put into Alamo Lake as fish habitat. The trees will break down and raise the availability of nutrients for fish and the insects they eat. The trees will also give fish like black crappie and sunfish a place to hide and rest, and larger predators like bass a place to hunt. Trees will be collected in Yuma, and then we NEED YOUR HELP to load and install the trees into the lake between January 29 to 31.
