Join the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) and the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) for a volunteer trash clean-up at dispersed campsites near the headwaters of Oak Creek Canyon on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
We will meet at the junction of FR535 and Hwy 89A (35°02'50.9"N, 111°44'03.1"W - if entering coordinates into OnX, FR535 will show as "Fry Park") at 8:00am.
This is a hands-on effort to help preserve the natural beauty of the forest and keep wildlife safe. USFS will provide trash bags and gloves. Volunteers should come prepared to work outdoors. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Plan to protect yourself from the sun with a hat and sunscreen. Bring snacks and enough water to keep you hydrated throughout the morning.
