The Arizona Game and Fish Department will be building and placing Mossback fish habitat structures into Saguaro Lake on Friday, October 24, 2025. We will meet a Butcher Jones Recreation Site at 8AM and work most of the day until all the habitat is placed, likely finishing by 3PM.
Volunteers will be constructing habitat and assisting with loading it onto Department boats for install. This activity will include the use of some power tools such as drills, so small children will likely not be able to participate in this event. However, we welcome ages 10+ to come help out and see what we do. Volunteers should bring their own water, food, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, etc. Volunteers will want to wear closed toed shoes and clothes appropriate for October weather, cool morning and warm in the afternoon.
