Description

Join the Arizona Elk Society this summer to help build a 1,040-foot continuous rail fence at HIIT Springs in Unit 8 (coordinates: 35.11165, -112.07783). This important habitat improvement project will take place over three weekend work trips: June 26–28, July 17–19, and July 31–August 2. Volunteers arrive Friday afternoon to set up camp, work throughout the day on Saturday, and finish up Sunday morning before heading home midday. When you register, be sure to note which days you are interested in attending.

No special skills are required—just a willingness to help and enjoy time outdoors. The Arizona Elk Society will provide meals for volunteers throughout the weekend. Opportunities include general labor, camp cook/kitchen help, driving a ranger, assisting with paperwork, or simply jumping in wherever help is needed.

Come lend a hand, meet like-minded conservationists, and help improve wildlife habitat in northern Arizona.
