Join us for a rewarding morning of giving back to nature at our upcoming trail maintenance project!
Date: April 4
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Raymond Wildlife Area (10 Buffalo Range Rd, Flagstaff AZ 86004)
We’re looking for a handful of volunteers to help with trail improvements on the Yeager Trail at RWA. Tasks will include removing weeds and spreading gravel to help keep the trail safe and accessible for everyone.
After the work is done, feel free to pack a lunch and relax at the bison ranch. While bison aren’t always visible from headquarters, there’s always a chance you might spot them!
Please wear closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing for variable weather, and bring snacks, a lunch, and water.
This is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, learn about local conservation efforts, and connect with others in the community.
Getting There:
Raymond Wildlife Area is approximately 30 miles east of Flagstaff on I-40. Visitors should be aware the last 10 miles is along a relatively unmaintained dirt road. From Flagstaff, go east on I-40 to exit 225 (Buffalo Range Road). Go south on the dirt road approximately 10 miles to the wildlife area boundary. You will see signs indicating the wildlife area. The area headquarters is 2 miles from the property boundary.
Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up soon!
We hope to see you there! For questions, call or email Stevie Kelso (skelso@azgfd.gov, 928.890.7495)
