The Arizona Game and Fish Department receives funding from the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act, commonly referred to as the Pittman-Robertson Act, generated from an excise tax on sporting arms and ammunition.  Funds are appropriated to States by the Secretary of the Interior for wildlife conservation including improvement of wildlife habitat.  

Volunteer activities support water development projects including catchment builds and maintenance, inspect catchments and check water levels, and haul water to catchments.
