Assist AZGFD biologists with surveys and monitoring for native snails (like springsnails and land snails) and invasive snails (like apple snails) at locations around Arizona.
Native snail surveys require some hiking and 4WD travel to get to survey locations, while invasive snail surveys typically involve kayaking or paddle board use on rivers and lakes. Most surveys are single day outings from the Department headquarters. Required: ability to swim and hike and paddle sport experience on moving water.
Additional Details: This event takes place outdoors; bring water, snacks, and protection from the sun or rain.
