On Friday April 19th we are asking for help building mini Georgia Cubes for our Community Fishing waters. These structures are made of PVC and corrugated drain pipe and act as a fish attractor to increase angler success. Our community fishing waters are very important to lots of residents who may not have the time to head up to Arizona's reservoirs and are heavily utilized.
We will be meeting at the visitor's entrance parking lot at our headquarters office at 9 AM on April 19th 2024 before heading over to the work area. Wear clothes appropriate for the temperature and things you don't mind getting ruined by PVC glue, be sure to bring a lunch and water as well. We will work until around 3 or when we run out of materials, whichever comes first.
We will be working with some power tools, safety equipment will be provided but if you have a favorite pair of gloves or safety glasses you'd like to bring that would be great.
The photos below are from our recent install at Roadrunner Park in Central Phoenix, the habitat we build will go to similar projects throughout the valley.
