On Thursday April 18th we are asking for help building Pallet Pyramids to install at Bender's Pond, one of our Community Fishing waters. These structures are built by nailing three pallets in to a pyramid shape and act as a fish attractor to increase angler success. Our community fishing waters are very important to lots of residents who may not have the time to head up to Arizona's reservoirs and are heavily utilized.
We will be meeting at the parking lot of Rotary Centennial park at 9 AM on May 10th 2024 before heading over to the work area. Wear clothes appropriate for the temperature and outdoor work. Water will be provided but bring a lunch or snacks as well. We will work until around 3 or when we've placed enough habitat in the lake, whichever comes first.
We will be working with some tools, safety equipment will be provided but if you have a favorite pair of gloves or safety glasses you'd like to bring that would be great.
