Thank you for volunteering to help us stock Gila Trout into the upper reach of KP Creek! Please meet at KP Cienega Campground prior to 12:00 PM on Tuesday May 9th, as we will begin loading up fish for stocking at 12:00 PM. This arrival time is subject to change and I will confirm a time on Friday May 5th. The plan is to bucket all 527 Gila Trout to a section of KP Creek just downstream of KP Cienega Campground and stock them ( about 500 - 1000ft from where the stocking truck will be parked). This will probably only take an hour or two to complete.
This will be hard work! It will require hiking long distances carrying a five gallon bucket full of water and fish on your back! Please dress appropriately and bring sunscreen (e.g., hiking boots, hat, sun glasses, etc.). You will need to bring your own food and water (I recommend a gallon of water)! We will have all of the frame packs and buckets for carrying fish. You can bring a small pack or cooler to strap on your frame pack to carry your water, snacks, and(or) camera/phone.
