We are looking for volunteers to help plant riparian vegetation in pre-dug holes along Rudd Creek at the Sipe White Mountain Wildlife Area. Staff will be out working at the site everyday from April 17 - April 30 and volunteer help is welcome everyday. If you plan to help during this time frame please reach out to Sky Hedden shedden@azgfd.gov to let him know which days you will be helping so that they can be prepared for you. Work will occur from 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM each day, but volunteers are welcome to work the hours that fit in their schedule. Volunteers only need to bring water/lunch and(or) snacks and a pair of work gloves if they have them. If you do not have work gloves there will be extras on site. When driving into Sipe White Mountain Wildlife Area there will be signs to direct volunteers where to go to assist with the planting efforts. The project will benefit an assortment of species that live along and within Rudd Creek, including Little Colorado Spinedace and New Mexico Meadow Jumping Mouse. If you have any questions about the project please contact shedden@azgfd.gov.
