The Arizona Game and Fish Department's Native Trout and Chub program will be stocking 539 Gila Trout into Dude Creek at 9am on June 7th. Please begin arriving around 8:30am to start staging the buckets. Volunteers should be prepared to carry 5-gallon buckets of water and Gila Trout roughly 4 miles to stock into the stream. Buckets, frame packs, straps, and fish will be provided. Please bring your own water, food, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, etc., in a small day pack or cooler. Packs and coolers can be strapped to the frame packs. Packs will weigh around 50lbs. give or take, depending on the the personal gear you bring. Please wear proper footwear and attire. Hiking boots or athletic shoes are recommended. Wearing Vans is discouraged. Denim/ jeans are also not recommended. You'll want to wear light weight moisture wicking pants or other athletic pants. Please keeps in mind that this will be HARD WORK!
